NVIDIA Highlights (or just Highlights) is a feature of NVIDIA Shadowplay that allows players to capture in-game moments automatically based on in-game events. The screenshot will be saved to the GeForce Experience gallery, and you’ll see a “Screenshot has been saved to Gallery” notification appear at the top right corner of your screen. To take a screenshot with GeForce Experience, press Alt+F1. Where do GeForce Experience screenshots get saved? You can also choose to upload the Instant Replay footage directly to YouTube and Facebook, without even having to save it. The default directory used by GeForce Experience to store all your videos is “C:\\Users\\ \\Videos“. Simply click on “Save” to store the video on your computer. Alternatively, access them through the “Social” menu, where you will find the Highlights button in the same lower left side position. If your Expedition concluded with any of the above occurring, you can click the “NVIDIA Highlights” button on the lower left of the screen to access recordings and screenshots. The ProgramData directory is hidden by default, so you have to either view hidden files or type C:\ProgramData into your file manager’s location bar to go there. At the moment, NVIDIA stores these graphics driver installation files at C:\ProgramData\NVIDIA Corporation\Downloader. You can also choose to enable or disable highlight notifications by going to the same settings menu -> notifications and enabling or disabling highlight notifications there. To access additional settings around required disk space, press Alt+Z -> Settings wheel cog -> Highlights, and set it to your preference. When you choose a different folder, the app will offer to move all current highlights to the new location, which is a nice touch. Thankfully we can change this to anything more convenient, something much easier to find (and preferably NOT on the system drive). They seriously couldn’t have chosen a more terrible location for those highlights, but I guess it’s what a Windows app will be allocated. C:/Users/you/AppData/Local/Temp/Highlights/GameName.Select that and you’ll see a relatively cryptic location. This brings up a list of options, one of which is called Highlights. You’ll find another settings button here. Under General there’s a section called In-Game Overlay. Now click on the gear icon at the top right to go into the Settings Menu. or by right-clicking the NVIDIA icon in the task bar and choosing GeForce Experience.or using the Start – NVIDIA – GeForce Experience.It took me some time to figure out where these are stored, and I thought I’d share how you can find out the exact location on your system.
